SPECIAL FEATURES

 

ARCHITECTURAL:

The entrance and the façade consist of windows and metal coating.  The construction and demolition work were executed in phases without interrupting the employee’s acitivities. Construction of new changing rooms and showers with epoxy floor for the employees of Air Canada 

STRUCTURAL:

Adding a floor steel structure to enlarge the changing rooms of Air Canada 

MECHANICAL:

Electric baseboard heating and air conditioning unit on the roof powered with multiple zones and computer system that can control the heating, lighting and card reader access 

ELECTRICAL:

Very sophisticated control system for electric doors, system card reader, scanning system for lighting 

CONSTRUCTION TIME:

6 months

 

PARTICULARITIES

The project was realized in a zone controlled by the Montreal airport.  Hence escorts were required to be able to return to work areas and work.  In addition, construction work was carried out in phases, in areas occupied by the employees and specifically in security areas.  Hence this required to have a close collaboration with the owner and a very controlled construction schedule
