SPECIAL FEATURES

 

ARCHITECTURAL:

Hi Tech design approach with multi colored curtain wall panels on the façade.  Complete building perimeter in vertical, low profile steel pre-painted metal-siding, prefabricated sandwich panels (as per cold storage building construction). High visibility from autoroute 20, therefore several significant design considerations for city approvals.

MECHANICAL:

Complete HVAC system with 17.5 T. central air for office portion, and ventilation only for the soccer area. The building is completely sprinklered.  Specialized renewable energy system combining solar collection panels on the building perimeter, in order to lower energy consumption costs.  The heating system for the soccer portion is a total electrical energy, infrared radiant technology.

STRUCTURAL:

Clear span “column – free” steel structure 124 feet clear, with a 36 foot clear height, steel roof trusses of 8 feet deep.

ELECTRICAL:

Specialized field lighting fluorescent type.  There is a 400 amp, electrical entry.

PARTICULARITIES

This new free standing, “column free” soccerplex is the 1st one to be built in the municipality and is designed to play “2 aside” teams.  There are also separate areas for golf practice and driving range.  The soccerfield  itself is built on a compacted gravel area with new specialized soccer-turf integrated with a synthetic granular material.  The office area is above the ground level-locker rooms.  There is a special ventilation system integrated with the solar heating system and the infra-red technology.  The solar panels are the newest “SOLARWALL” technology of approximately 2000 sq.ft.
