TYPE:

The new Police Station in Pierrefonds is a project of 8000 sq. ft. It is a two-story building with a green and a white roof. This is the first LEED Gold project in the "design built" category for the city of Montreal

  • Almost 50% saving in water
  • Landscaping is planned without irrigation

SPECIAL FEATURES

 

ARCHITECTURAL:

The facades have a lot of windows in order to have as much as possible the natural light and reduce electricity consumption. In addition, all products used were chosen to meet the requirements of LEED.

STRUCTURAL:

A thorough calculation allowed the use of controlled backfill in place of the pious (for economy and speed of execution).

MECHANICAL:

Products and materials were chosen to meet the LEED requirements.  (LEED lighting, geothermal, solar wall, etc ...).

10 months

 

PARTICULARITIES

Given the tight schedule, the project was executed in "fast track". In addition it is the first LEED Gold project for the City of Montreal. To meet this, the City of Montreal had to adjust their standards. (hybrid vehicles).
